- No New Features: Log-a-Jog
has been on the market since 1997. Since then, due to injuries
neither author (father or daughter) can run any more. Since we no
longer log our own runs, we've not added any new features in awhile and
probably never will again. Therefore, we no longer feel justified
charging for the software.
- Advertising: As you'll read
below, to get your free copy, we ask that you visit our Corporate
Website to get the free unlock code.
Since we are in the computer software business (developing custom
business applications that run on the Internet), we hope that by giving
Log-a-Jog away is this fashion it may eventually help us attract
new customers. If you like Log-a-Jog, all we ask is that
you remember us when someone you know needs custom computer software.
After all, if you like something we wrote 8 years ago, imagine we can do
today.
- Still useful: There are
thousands of runners using the Log-a-Jog. We received very
few requests for new features. We hope that means that
Log-a-Jog meets the needs of most runners and most really can't
think of much else they would want Log-a-Jog to do. This
free version will also help our loyal customers reinstall Log-a-Jog
on new computers.
- Stable Version: It's been years
since we've received a report of a real problem.
To the best of our knowledge, Log-a-Jog works on all versions of
Microsoft Windows released since we started - Windows 98, ME,
2000, XP, etc. So we feel comfortable releasing a free version
without support.
