Option 1:
Download as One Large File

Recommended if you have high speed access (cable, DSL, 56k, etc.) With a 56k connection, this file takes at least 45 minutes to download.

Once it is downloaded, run "logajog.exe" (double click on it) to install Log-a-Jog.

Option 2:
Download as 3 Separate Smaller Files

Recommended if you have a slower connection, or are having problems downloading the large file above.

First, download all 3 files to the same directory. Then, run Setup.exe (Disk 1) to install Log-a-Jog.

Download Needed DLL Files (only needed if receiving these errors)
Jet DLL Files *Only if you're getting error messages* Download Jet Files (jet.exe, 634K or 648,888) 11/17/98	If you're receiving an error message when running Log-a-Jog about VBAJET32.DLL or MSJET35.DLL being the wrong version, then you need to download this file. Copy the file to your Windows/System directory and run it. Allow the file to overwrite any existing files.

Find and double click on the file OLEPATCH.EXE 6. Follow the on-screen instructions

Free Trial Information: The Log-a-Jog trial is a full working version. It comes complete with a sample database to show you how to use its features. You may add one runner of your own to the trial version and add up to 20 runs without registering. This is the trial version's only limitation - there are no time limitations, nag messages (other than to let you know when you've reached your 20 runs), etc. The registered version will let you add as many runners as you need, each with a virtually unlimited number of runs. If you decide to register Log-a-Jog for just $29.95, you will not need to re-download the program - we will issue you a registration code and serial number that will fully activate the trial program you download. You are welcome to return at anytime an get free updates to Log-a-Jog (just a small download ... the "patch.exe" above).

Attention Netscape Users: Netscape may not recognize the Disk 2 (setup.w02) and Disk 3 (setup.w03) links to start a file download. You may need to manually start the download by holding your "Shift" key down as you click on the links.

Installing upgrade.exe (Use Only if you have version of Log-a-Jog v3.1 or 3.2 installed)
1. Download the Update ("upgrade.exe") file
2. Back up (make a copy) of the following files (you should do this on a regular basis)

defaults.vcr
<yourname>.mdb (one for each runner)
preferences.mdb

3. Copy UPGRADE.EXE to your Log-a-Jog Directory.
4. Run (double click on) UPGRADE.EXE to install the new files. Allow the process to overwrite any existing files.
5. Run Log-a-Jog!

Installing patch.exe (Use only if you already have Log-a-Jog v3.3 or v3.4 installed)
1. Download the Patch ("patch.exe") file
2. Back up (make a copy) of the following files (you should do this on a regular basis)

<yourname>.mdb (one for each runner)
preferences.mdb

3. Copy PATCH.EXE to your Log-a-Jog Directory.
4. Run (double click on) PATCH.EXE to install the new files. Allow the process to overwrite any existing files.
5. Run Log-a-Jog!

Upgrading from a previous version of Log-a-Jog (from version 1.x or 2.x only)

1. If you have an existing version of Log-a-Jog 3.1 or 3.2, this is not the place you want be (see above).

If you have Version 1.x or 2.x, this is the right place.

Download the full version of the program (from "way" above). There is no small download available to do a upgrade from previous versions of Log-a-Jog (version 2.4, for example). As long as you are installing on the same computer as your previous version of Log-a-Jog, your registration information should transfer over. If it doesn't, just contact us at logajog@veard.com.

2. We recommend installing Log-a-Jog 3.4 in a different location than your previous version. In most cases, you should still be able to run the old version.

3. After you have installed Log-a-Jog, run the program. It will default to "Sample Runner" where you can view our sample database to learn some of the new features.

4. Next, you will need to upgrade your existing runs into Log-a-Jog v3.4. From Log-a-Jog v3, select the "Logbooks" menu at the top of the screen. Next, select "Upgrade from Log-a-Jog v2". This will present you with the Upgrade screen. Simply use the "Browse" button to find your existing "logajog.mdb" file. It will be renamed to your name. If you have multiple runners set up - you will need to repeat this process for each runner. You do not need to reinstall Log-a-Jog for each runner - Log-a-Jog 3.4 fully supports multiple runners from one copy of the program. You can safely delete the additional runner's Log-a-Jog directories after upgrading their "logajog.mdb" file into version 3.
