Log-a-Jog Features & Screen Shots
(Caution: This page contains a lot of graphics, and may be slow to load... please be patient.)

Log-a-Jog™ has the Ability to
to track all of the following:
Distance Time
Pace & Speed Course
Type of Run Multiple Shoes
Milestones Weight
Pulse Calories Burnt
Pedometer Reading Comments
Optional Fields Training Watch
Goals/Upcoming Races Special Events
Weather Conditions Course Maps

Log-a-Jog keeps separate databases of each course, milestone, type of run and shoe worn, so that you can keep track of your best and worst times for each. For courses, you can record detailed directions about the course, and even reference a map or graphic that you can create using software programs like Delorme AAA Map'n'Go, Streetmap, etc. You can assign a different color for your Types of Runs, so each type stands out differently on your calendar displays. Each Milestone, Type and Shoe can include detailed comments. And you can even assign one of Log-a-Jog's 48 pre-defined graphics for each run that shows up on your monthly calendar display. Log-a-Jog allows you to setup Goals and Upcoming Races on the calendars that can be converted to actual Runs once those dates arrive.

Each run can be broken up into multiple laps - which is handy if you run more than once a day, start and stop frequently (speed training) or truly run laps on a course. Optional Fields allows you to create your own fields to record information about your runs and activities (such as Elevation, Running Partner, etc.). Log-a-Jog also has support for multiple runners - each runner can have his or her own preferences and databases. This is ideal for households with multiple runners, or school running teams.

Enter your runs into the Log Book Screen...

Example of adding a Course's Route Information

Example of incorporating a map graphic with a Course.

When adding a new Course, you can set up additional information about the course by clicking on the "Route?" button. This will bring up a Course Edit screen that allows you to type in and view information about your course. You can even assign a graphic file (such as a map or a photograph of the course) to view. The Type, Shoe and Milestone entries also have similar screens.

Log-a-Jog even includes a Runner's Calculator to calculate pace, distance, speed and time - using both miles and kilometers. It's accessible from all screens in Log-a-Jog.

Then view your runs in a variety of ways!

Monthly Calendar showing Runner's Totals In the monthly display, the days you ran are highlighted in a color you can pre-assign by Type of Run. Each run can also be assigned one of Log-a-Jog's 48 pre-defined graphics that shows up on this calendar display. Need to add a run? No problem! Just double click on the day you want to add, and a page from your Logbook (above) will appear! You'll also see your lifetime and weekly totals on the right hand side of the screen! You can also record special events (birthdays, etc.), goals and upcoming races.
Yearly Calendar Or, choose to view your runs a Year at a time. Again, you'll see each day that you ran in your pre-defined Type color. You can add a run to any day of the year, just by double clicking on the day! Like the Monthly calendar screen, you'll also see your lifetime and monthly totals on the right hand side!
Run List Or choose to list your runs. You can sort, search, print, edit, delete or create new entries from here. Simply click on any column heading to search or sort on that field. You can also view and edit your courses, types of runs, milestones, shoes and events. Your Runner's Totals will also be shown on the right hand side of the screen. (Lifetime, monthly or weekly).
Graph: Average Distance by Months Powerful graphs let you display your runs in 2-D or 3-D Bar, Pie or Line charts. You can graph your Runs, Distance, Pace, Time and your 5 optional fields by averages or totals. You can even control the time period your graph includes, and display it in monthly, weekly or annual totals. Include mean, max, min, standard deviation and more. All charts can be printed or copied to the clipboard.
View your run totals at all times. See averages, best and worst distance, time and averages. Log-a-Jog displays your totals on every display in the program. You can instantly see your totals and averages for distance, runs, time and pace. If you perform a search, the totals for that search will be shown here. You can even set up a "Training Watch" to only track distance from a specified date.
Monthly Totals for a Year In the Year at a Glance view, your totals are displayed by month, including number of runs, total miles and total time for the month, and your average pace. A grand total for the year is displayed at the bottom of the list. As you change years, totals for that year will be displayed. You can also switch between showing totals and averages for distance and time.
Weekly Totals for a Month. While looking at any monthly calendar, you'll see "weekly summaries" that shows the number of runs, the total distance, total time and average pace by "week of the year". At the bottom of the weekly totals you'll find grand totals for the month. As you change months, the window changes to display summary totals for the currently selected month.
